چکیده

Additional enzymes pretreatment technology can promote the hydrolysis of excess activated sludge, while increasing gas production. Single enzyme pretreatment of sludge, alkaline protease has a better effect of hydrolysis. The optimum working conditions for alkaline protease: pH value of 8.0, the solid-liquid ratio of 1:4, the enzyme concentration of 2%, the working temperature of 55°C, reaction time 4h. Cellulase and pronase E joint is the best effect in the treatment of compound enzymes pretreatment, sludge SS reduced by 80%, granular COD reduction of 93%, and TCOD reduced 97%, TSS from 25g / L down 5g/L. The maximum SCOD, polysaccharides and NH4 -N concentrations reached 16878mg/L, 2695.3mg/L and 156.73mg/L when protease concentrations is 20mg/gTS, EDTA-2Na dosage is 0.20g/gTS and temperature is 55°C in joint enzymes

Enhanced efficiency of biological excess sludge hydrolysis under anaerobic digestion by additional enzymes.

In this investigation, the effects of commercial enzyme preparation containing alpha amylase and neutral protease on hydrolysis of excess sludge and the kinetic analysis of hydrolysis process were evaluated. The results indicated that amylase treatment displayed higher hydrolysis efficiency than that of protease. VSS reduction greatly increased to 39.70% for protease and 54.24% for amylase at t...

The Intensification of Sewage Sludge Anaerobic Digestion by Partial Disintegration of Surplus Activated Sludge and Foam

Large quantities of sludge are produced in biological wastewater treatment. Sludge has a high putrescibility and therefore has to be stabilizsed in order to enable an environmentally safe utilization or disposal. The anaerobic digestion is the standard technique to stabilize the sludge. Digestion produces biogas and reduces the amount of organic matter. The amount of excess sludge production fr...

Effect of Metal Salt Coagulants on Treatment of Activated Sludge Effluent in Sulfite Mill Pulp and Paper Plant

Pulp and paper effluents are considered as serious environmental hazards and their treatment, because of multiplicity of impurities and complexity of their chemical structures, is one of the most difficult and inconvenient industrial processes. As the most pulp and paper mill work on kraft process, there are few studies in literature on the treatment of neural sulfite semi chemical (NSSC) p...

Effect of heat-alkaline treatment as a pretreatment method on volatile fatty acid production and protein degradation in excess sludge, pure proteins and pure cultures.

This study investigated the effect of heat-alkaline treatment (HAT) at pH 11 and 60 °C on volatile fatty acid (VFA) production and protein degradation in excess sludge, soluble and insoluble proteins, and pure cultures. In addition, quantification of bacteria present in the sludge was also examined. Experimental results showed that following acid fermentation under pH 7 and 37 °C, HAT enhanced ...
